Academic development is not about learning to chase every point in exams. It is about cultivating the right attitude and work habits, learning to set goals, and believing that these goals can be achieved through effort. Students will be supported through daily homework supervision and revision, goal setting and periodic review of progress.
Mindsets are developed from a young age and impact the way a student responds to challenges and setbacks. At Kids Pitstop, we aim to help our students develop a positive growth mindset, and to believe in their own ability to learn and grow their multiple intelligences. Through our carefully curated resources, students will be brought on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
A healthy child is a happy child. At Kids Pitstop, we believe that students need time and opportunities to participate in and enjoy physical activities that benefit their physical, mental and emotional well-being. As part of our holistic approach, our Sports Wellness programme is targeted at nurturing our students to engage in and sustain an active lifestyle, building their self-esteem, and helping them develop important social attributes.
Science is not about lab coats and apparatus. It is about asking questions and investigating the answers. It is about wonder. Our Robotics and Coding programme aims to encourage an inquisitive mindset, to put our students' understanding of science to work by solving real STEAM problems. It ignites their creativity, develops their problem-solving skills, and encourages critical and computational thinking skills.
Every student is a potential maker. At Kids Pitstop, we aim to manifest that maker mindset. Our makerspace serves as an incubator that gets students excited to collaborate, think, tinker, design and build. Some may be tangible products that solve real world problems, others may be ideas that spark the students' curiosity and creativity. Failure is expected and welcomed, with opportunities to learn perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges.
